Work-based learning has a critical role to play in ‘designing the future’ of finance-focused technology firms, according to the CEO of Fintech Scotland, Stephen Ingledew.

He believes that on-the-job training and mentoring is essential to upskill and re-skill the thousands of employees working in finance, so they can adapt and adopt the new technologies and use of ‘big data’, which are both so important to the fintech sector.

The Centre for Work-based Learning, a founding sponsor of DIGIT’s Financial Technology Awards, interviewed Ingledew in the video below as part of its commitment to promoting work-based learning to the tech industry in Scotland.
