Business, tech and transformation support not-for-profit firm, Agile Scotland, has announced the first of its three conferences for 2020.
The one-day event to be held on the 6th of March at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh aims to bring together people involved in building and delivering high-growth, high-impact products and services, with all funds being reabsorbed back into small, local tech communities and non-profits. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to coding school for refugees ‘Code Your Future’, and Edinburgh Children’s Accessibility charity ‘WhizzKidz’.
The conference will be divided into four tracks, and feature industry speakers, workshops, a facilitated ‘conversation café’ and community open spaces.
Speakers will include Melissa Pickering, head of interactive play, Lego; Per Hammer, VP, JP Morgan Chase; Sheree Atcheson, head of diversity and inclusion, Monzo; Steph South, global HR business partner, HSBC; and Tanya Spencer, senior HR business partner, BT.

Jo Ogilvie, from Agile Scotland, said: “Being part of the conferences and events really helps in-house experts showcase their talent as well as learn from others in an inclusive and safe environment.
“Meanwhile, attendees can expect the very best in the industry from across the tech sector, with a strong focus on tactical learning outcomes.
“We want everyone to leave with something they can take back to their teams and organisations. We are so very lucky to always attract diverse, inspired attendees.”
Ben Dodd, co-founder of sponsor organisation Armakuni, said: “Edinburgh is a growing tech hub, and Agile Scotland is giving us a platform to grow our exposure and reputation, not just in the Scottish market, but globally.”
Agile Scotland has been running since 2002 and aims to make learning with local and international practitioner communities more accessible, affordable, and as inclusive as possible.
