The six month Special Edition programme offers a combination of professional development, training and exposure to creative and business expertise.
The goal is to help participants improve their entrepreneurial skills, build their business networks and progress their careers into more senior and executive positions.
With women currently representing only 18% of the workforce in Scotland’s technology sector, Special Edition is a valuable addition to the industry.

Louisa Gallie, Senior Artist at games studio Hunted Cow, went through the 2014 programme, agrees: “Special Edition was nine days that completely changed how I tackle my life and career. It changed how I think about problems, how I react to challenges, and how I plan my future. I applied for the course because I felt bored and stuck in a rut. I can safely say I haven’t been bored for one moment since.

Special Edition launches in August with the first of five sessions, covering topics ranging from professional and personal goal setting to pitching with confidence. The programme also includes two field trips to visit digital centres of excellence in London and Amsterdam.
