SnapDragon Makes Two New Appointments to Its Management Team
The Edinburgh-based disruptive legal tech start-up has announced the addition of two new senior members to its team.
Legal tech company SnapDragon, which strives to crackdown on e-commerce fakery, has today announced that Alexis Ovenstone and Kieron Smith have been appointed to the firm’s management team. Ovenstone will be joining as Head of Marketing while Smith will take on the role of Product Manager. The appointments follow swiftly after the company’s launch of its cutting-edge DIY brand monitoring SaaS platform, Swoop.
Ovenstone brings with her over 20 years of experience in fast-moving consumer goods marketing and has worked with some of the UK’s most recognised brands, including Whyte & Mackay, Clover and Cathedral City. She joins SnapDragon from Macsween, where she was responsible for successfully implementing a strong marketing strategy for the firm, ensuring it maintained its top spot in the UK haggis market.
Smith, a highly qualified tech expert with over 20 years’ experience in software development and product management, will lead the company’s digital team as it continues to develop its pioneering Swoop platform. He has worked with several top digital firms, including financial services software firm, SNX Systems, and Scottish vehicle logistics software provider, Vehnet.
New Additions to Help Achieve Firm’s Goals
In her role at SnapDragon, Oventsone will be responsible for developing and executing the firm’s marketing plan as it continues towards its goal of becoming the go-to online brand protection service for SMEs.
Ovenstone said of her appointment: “Having worked in marketing for some of the UK’s top brands, I am fully aware of the struggles that many face when it comes to counterfeiting. I’m a strong believer that SnapDragon can make a real difference to the global counterfeit market, especially for SMEs who often lack the funds and resources to be able to fight back.”
Smith commented: “SnapDragon is leading the way when it comes to affordable online brand protection and I believe Swoop will be an incredibly valuable asset to brands looking to protect themselves from copycats.
“I am looking forward to working closely with SnapDragon’s team of linguists and IP experts to further enhance Swoop and help ensure that we achieve our mission of becoming a household name in the world of brand protection.”
SnapDragon founder Rachel Jones added: “I’m thrilled to have both Alexis and Kieron on board, bringing their exceptional skills and experience to the team. I firmly believe that both will be a great asset as we strive to reach our goal of making SnapDragon the go-to online brand protection solution.”
