There are now just two weeks to go until DIGIT’s Fintech Summit 2021.
Now in its eighth year, the summit will see senior personnel from the finance and financial technology community come together in one place, focusing on the use of emerging technologies such as AI, ML and blockchain in the sector.
Held on the 16th of September, the event comes after a major social upheaval has changed the way we work, the way we spend money and the role of technology in our society. With the world looking to move out of the pandemic, our panellists and delegates will consider the role of financial services in the socio-economic recovery.
Furthermore, disruptions to both industry and society over the past year and a half have presented both challenges and opportunities for financial technology innovation. The event will share success stories, lessons learned and look ahead to how we can take full advantage of future opportunities.
Commenting on the summit, DIGIT Director Ray Bugg said: “We are delighted that after over a year of virtual events, we will finally be able to welcome physical participants to Fintech 2021 and catch up in person.
“Having weathered so many challenges since the beginning of 2020, the financial services sector is showing remarkable resilience, and looking to continue to adapt, innovate and thrive. We will have a chance to reflect on this period, which brought so much volatility, and discuss the opportunity for Fintech to help the country to build back better..
“DIGIT’s hybrid event will explore how the financial technology sector can play a critical role in fuelling economic recovery and improving social outcomes – both here in Scotland and globally.”
