Internet usage in Glasgow has increased by 32% over the last 18 months, according to new business data from TalkTalk.

The need for fast, reliable and affordable connectivity in Glasgow shows no signs of slowing down either, as the research reveals that 89% of office workers in Scotland hope to continue working from home in the future.

As a result of spending more time at home, people have been investing in smart tech and the connectivity needed to support it. The most popular items for investment being smart speakers (13%), smart cameras (13%), and wireless printers (11%).

One-fifth (18%) of those surveyed also spent money on a mesh system to improve their in-home connectivity during the pandemic.

Many residents are turning to internet providers’ fibre packages to optimise their work at home efficiency.
