Cathcart Associates Wins Major Public Sector Tender
The Scottish firm has been appointed to secure top tech talent for niche IT roles in UK public sector bodies.
Edinburgh-based IT recruitment specialists, Cathcart Associates, has been selected to source IT candidates for jobs in a number of public bodies including the NHS, local government, universities, charities and blue light services.
The contract is with a new public sector framework primarily designed for the NHS but open to public sector organisations and government departments, the Workforce Alliance (WA). Under the WA, NHS Procurement in Partnership and Crown Commercial Service (CCS), the largest single procurer in the country, have teamed up.
This contract win has made Cathcart Associates a leading provider to the framework in Scotland and across the UK. It also marks a step change for the independent recruitment specialist as they continue their ambitious growth strategy.

The contract sees the recruiter named as a supplier on the CCS and NHS Procurement in Partnership RM6160 Non-Clinical Temporary & Fixed term staffing framework. In 2018/19, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth £945 million, it currently operates over 100 frameworks.
The win cements their reputation as a trusted supplier to the public sector following their recent inclusion on the Digital Outcomes and Specialists (DOS) 4 framework, which will allow Cathcart Associates to supply recruitment services to key digital specialists in any public sector body or third sector organisation. It is also listed as a supplier for Lot 3 on the framework – IT technicians, analysts and technical engineer specialists.
